Inner Compass Program

A unique six month program for women in medicine

Shandra Bauer, PA-C and 200-RYT and Sarah Webber MD have designed this integrative program specifically for women in medicine.

This 6 month program includes monthly live small group sessions, 1:1 coaching and embodiment sessions, and practices and skills to navigate the process of embodied transformation.

What is the Inner Compass Program?

This is a 6-month program for women that incorporates coaching and embodiment practices in a dedicated space to explore what matters most to you. We have designed this program to honor our collective experiences and needs as women which includes community, connection and freedom.

This program isn’t like other coaching programs out there, we are not going to offer hacks or wellness advice. Instead, we incorporate many wisdom sources into a process that intends to help you feel more agency, empowerment, self-trust, and sense of community.

This program is designed for you to show up EXACTLY as you are, connect to other women in a light-hearted and playful space, and discover what is true for you.

The Program Includes:

  • Monthly live small group sessions

  • Six 1:1 Sessions with Shandra and Sarah

    • Three individual coaching sessions with Sarah Webber

    • Three individual embodiment sessions with Shandra Bauer

  • Inner Compass Guidebook: an interactive journal to reflect along the journey

  • Monthly Drop In Yoga Practice

  • Online library of references for deeper exploration of themes and topics

  • Monthly reflections from Sarah and Shandra with personal stories, essays, and audio recordings

  • Optional in person informal meet ups for folks in Madison, WI

This program is for you if you:

  • Are successful, yet unsatisfied, and are ready to find your way to self-authored fulfillment

  • Sometimes look to others for definitions of success or happiness, and are ready to define success and happiness on your terms

  • Are skeptical or tired of wellness advice and optimization strategies, and want to carve your own path

  • Know deep down what you want, and are ready to be driven by aspirations rather than fears

  • Want to stop questioning yourself or the decisions you make and feel confidence in trusting your ability to navigate life

  • Value the opinions and expectations of others and want to be led by your own intuition

  • Looking for a community of women in medicine where you can be seen and supported

  • Are tired of pretending you have it all together, and are ready to show up as your beautiful, imperfect, and whole self

You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
— Mary Oliver

For Women, With Women

This program is about you.

Connecting with yourself, your values, your priorities.

It is about recognizing our shared experiences as women and seeing that we are not alone.

You will learn to differentiate what nourishes you from what drains you.

Together we will build self-trust, be accepted and seen in our strengths and messes, grow in our confidence, connect with our inner wisdom, be honest, and learn how to work with our doubting and self-critical parts.

Our program is rooted in this process of Embodied Transformation:

FAQs

What if I miss the live sessions?

The live small group sessions and yoga practices will be recorded and available for you to watch when you have time. We encourage you to attend the live sessions if possible in order to get the most out the program, group coaching and community building. We also know you are busy, have jobs, kids, pets, and all the things. So please honor your capacity and limits through the 6 months.

What is embodiment? Why does it matter?

Embodiment is kind of a buzz word right now AND is a super important part of being connected to our full humanity, to have agency, and feel connected to ourselves and others. According to Dr. Hillary McBride embodiment is “the experience of being a body within a social context.”

Our bodies and minds are connected and support us in living a full, enlivened, and authentic life. We explore embodiment and mind-body practices in this program as a way to support ourselves to connect inwardly to our desires, values, to set boundaries, and find agency and choice in our lives.

What will support me in making the most of the program?

We invite you to enter this program with curiosity and an open mind as we offer approaches, themes and practices that might be new or familiar to you.  Try something, see how it works for you and then either leave it behind or take it with you.  This is all about experimenting, noticing, and meeting ourselves with compassion along the journey.

Dedicate the time and energy to really engage with the group sessions, the 1:1 sessions and content while also knowing that conflicts and other obligations may arise.  The group sessions will be recorded if you miss the live offerings.

Do I need to have experience with yoga or meditation to participate?

Absolutely not! Everything we offer is for all levels, experience and abilities. We use yoga, embodiment practices and meditation practices as optional ways to explore and deepen your connection to yourself. Everything we offer can be modified, skipped or adapted to meet your needs.

What is included in the individual embodiment sessions with Shandra?
